January 2006

Mid-January: Recording of a CD of Spanish guitar music relating to the painter Francisco Goya, for the Frick Collection in New York, using two period guitars.

Saturday 21st: Lute society meeting, Art Worker's Guild, London. Performing entries for the latest lute society competition, to set a modern song for lute. I never thought I would perform 'Stairway to Heaven' not only TO the lute society, but at their request!

February 2006.

Sunday 19th, 'The Sultan and the Queen', recital of eastern and western lute music.Ahmed Mukhtar (oud), Lynda Sayce (lute).7.30pm, Holywell Music Room, Oxford. Tickets at the door.

Friday 24th, Concert 'The Royal Trumpet' with The King's Consort,with Crispian Steele-Perkins, Wigmore Hall, London.

March 2006

Wednesday 8th, Concert of Handel (including the 'Ode on St Cecilia's Day') and Purcell, with The King's Consort, Palais des Beaux-Arts, Brussels.

Thursday 9th, Concert of Handel (including the 'Ode on St Cecilia's Day') and Purcell, with The King's Consort, Cadogan Hall, London.

Saturday 11th, Performance of Bach's St John Passion, Britten Sinfonia conducted by Nicholas Cleobury, Sheldonian Theatre, Oxford.

21st-25th, tour of Spain with The Scholars Baroque Ensemble, performing Monteverdi's Vespers of 1610. Performances in Zaragoza (22nd), Pamplona (23rd) and Zamorra (24th).

Thursday 30th, Concert with The King's Consort, Wigmore Hall, London.

April 2006

Saturday 1st, Performance of Bach's St John Passion, Norwich Cathedral.

Tuesday 11th, Concert including Pergolesi Stabat Mater, with the Irish Baroque Orchestra, Dublin.

Wednesday 12th, Concert including Pergolesi Stabat Mater, with the Irish Baroque Orchestra, Galway.

Sunday 30th, Concert with the Locrian Ensemble, Lympne.

May 2006

12-14th, course for lutenists ands singers in Bremen, Germany, with Imma Einsingbach. Please enquire for details.

24th - 29th, tour of Iceland with I Fagiolini. Music by Vecchi (L'Amfiparnasso) and Monteverdi.
